Charley Harper is the subect of a new book edited by Todd Oldham. The book chronicles his playfully modern work from 1950-1975. The book is a hefty 17.3 x 12.2 inches and 420 pages. Sadly, Charley died last month at the age of 84. For those in Los Angeles, a book signing will take place tonight with Todd Oldham at Hennessey and Ingalls from 7-9 PM.

I had never heard of Charley Harper, but his work looks totally awesome. Amazon has the softcover version for $32 and I had to physically restrain myself from ordering it immediately. I have the feeling that I’ll be ordering it very, very soon, though. Thanks for enlightening me. (love your blog)
