BLOOMSBURG— Eraka Rouzorondu, empowerment specialist, will speak on “The Good News about Racism,” at 6 p.m. Monday, at Bloomsburg University’s Multicultural Center.

The Black Student Union and The Great Conversations Honors Program are pleased to welcome Dr. Eraka Rouzorondu to Mansfield University this Thursday, February 25. Dr. Rouzorondu is a nationally acclaimed educator, poet, director, producer, performance artist, and author as well as the CEO of Ma’at Enterprises.

The Black Student Union and The Great Conversations Honors Program are pleased to welcome Dr. Eraka Rouzorondu to Mansfield University this Thursday, February 25. Dr. Rouzorondu is a nationally acclaimed educator, poet, director, producer, performance artist, and author as well as the CEO of Ma’at Enterprises. Her talk, “The Good News About Racism,” will be held in Allen 104 beginning at 6:30pm.Interested audience members will be able to purchase copies of her books, Path to Power: The Making of a New Afrikan and Answers: A Philosophical Foundation for an Empowered Life, which Dr. Rouzorondu will graciously sign after her talk is finished.We look forward to seeing a fantastic turnout for this SGA sponsered Great Conversations event.

One of the major components of the symposium is the Author’s Pavilion which has hosted authors who also present workshops. Local and national authors over the years have included: Hill Harper, Dr. Randall Pinkett, Dr. Obari Cartman, Hotep, Summer Fitch, Eraka Rouzorondu, Baruti Kafele, Salome Thomas-El, Solomon Jones, Mister Mann Frisby, Kevin Powell, Valerie Harrison, Sheron Smith, Randall Horton, David Miller, Herman Pryor and Felicia Pride just to name a few. Each attendee receives, as part of their registration, a book in their packet from one of the Pavilion authors and is able to meet with them for book signings and discussion during the course of the symposium. Additionally, all books are on display and available for sale as well as books supplied by Third World Press, Say It Loud and Invision Publications.
