If you’re looking for a lighter, more breath-able carrier, with a little less padding, and a higher max adjustment, then I strongly suggest the ERGO Sport. It fits larger body types best, has the detachable sleeping hood, and its compatible with the waist belt extension accessory. Check out the for more information, or get it .
The ERGO Sport offers a Flex fit, with shoulder straps that adjust from 27″ to 49″, and a waist belt that adjusts from 32″ to 55″. The Sport is best for larger body types.
It’s fairly easy for a front carry, just click on the waist belt, and make sure it’s on your front and centered on your waist. Next take baby out of car, hold them against your body with their legs on either side of you and their bottom centered in the middle of the carrier. Then, while holding the baby against you, bring the back of the ERGObaby Sport up over their back and put your arms through the shoulder straps and fasten the clip at the back.
I love this carrier! I bought it on your recommendation. I was undecided between the Becco Gemini and the Ergo. I went to a shop that sold both and tried them on with my then 4 week old son. I decided on the Ergo Sport. I am a “plus size” woman with a large chest, I was worried that a soft structured carrier would not fit my body, but was told that the Ergo has an extention peice that easily attaches to the waist belt. Much to my suprise I did not need the extention, the built in belt is very roomy and there is ample room for my baby and my “baby brothers milk boobies” (as my toddler reffers to them lol). My son is now 8 weeks and weighs over 14lbs and we use the carrier just about every day. It makes life easier being hands free with a young baby and a 2yr old!
