Augusta, GA – Mrs. Dorothy Lee Kneece, 81, wife of the late James “Dick” Kneece, entered into rest on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors this Monday, August 24, 2015, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Stephen Black, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Kneece, a native of Little Rock, Arkansas, had made Augusta her home for most of her life and was the daughter of the late Leon and Levy Mae Cooper. Mrs. Kneece was a homemaker as well as a loving mother and grandmother. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
She survived by her children and their spouses, Donald and Theresa Moore, Leroy and Sonja Moore, James R. and Sheila Kneece, Mark A. and Shannon Kneece, Brenda and Leon Walker, Dottie and Richard Martz, Debbie and Randy Atkins, Lisa and Michael Hooks; her sisters, Annette Atkins and Darlene Perkins; twenty three grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; as well as one great great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends this Sunday from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
