Richly and precisely painted in the colors of red, yellow and black, no feather is out of place. His copper legs are wrapped around a small wood branch. Exquisite hand painted and carved Takahashi male Cardinal pin. He rests on twisted copper wire legs and feet attached to a small wood branch. Unsigned, accompanied by an original box, measures 1-3/4" by 1-1/2". Excellent condition.

Scarce Takahashi Goldfinch Bird Pin

This Vintage Takahashi Style Bird Pin is Extremely Beautiful & Vibrant – Hand Painted with strict attention to the tiniest details. The colors are absolutely brilliant and include; Golden Yellow, Orange, Cornflower Yellow, Green, Blue, Burnt Sienna, Black, Red & Brown. I’m not sure what type of bird this is but it could possibly be a wren or sparrow. The pin is created with wood, lavishly applied enamels and is preserved with a clear finish. Consequently the bird is in Excellent Condition. The brooch/pin has exceptional dimension and depth.

We have this adorable tiny signed KT Takahashi bird pin from the famed Takahashi family. They started making these while in the internment camp during WWII. These little birds have become collectors items and are lacquered with solid colors. This is a Goldfinch that has its collector's card which has four fold bends in it. The bird is signed on the back with KT. She signed her best birds. This pin has been well cared for and has bent metal legs on a piece of wood and the push pins hold the pin in place. This was purchased for 225. from a collector who purchased this from the family. This beauty is 1 3/4" by 3/4".
