Yamma Brown: The story is about the relationship between father and daughter and husband and wife. Of course, I want people to take some part of dad away from it and I want them to have a better understanding of him and a better appreciation for him as a father. Hopefully it’s a little uplifting, a little funny and a little insightful yet rewarding because you can learn so much from it as well.

Yamma Brown: Soul Train has been great. I’ve attended many Soul Train Awards, too. Growing up, I loved Soul Train, and Deanna being on there with dad is always a highlight we look back on. But also, Don Cornelius was a friend to my dad and I got a chance to meet him before he passed away. The show was so great for the community. Don Cornelius was just the best at what he did.
